Delete your account
You can delete your spotyshine account at any time. You don't need the app installed to ask.
In the spotyshine app
- Open spotyshine and sign in.
- Go to Settings and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.
By email
From the email address you sign in with, email privacy@bluerockets.co.za with the subject Delete my spotyshine account. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address. We delete the account within 30 days and email you when it is done.
Business owners closing a business account, or team members leaving a business, can use the same address. A business's records (bookings, invoices) may need to be kept for tax purposes, as below.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account, name, email, phone number and profile photo.
- Your saved vehicles, favourite branches and notification tokens.
- Bookings that haven't started yet are cancelled, and the business is told.
- Notes businesses kept about you, and photos you uploaded.
What is kept, and why
- Past bookings and reviews are anonymised: your name, phone, address and vehicle are removed, so they no longer identify you. The business keeps the anonymised booking and its price for its accounting and tax records.
- Before and after photos already follow their own rule and are deleted 30 days after the wash.
