Terms of Use
spotyshine is run by Bluerockets (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us"), Johannesburg, South Africa. By creating an account or using spotyshine you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What spotyshine is
spotyshine is a marketplace. It shows car washes and mobile detailers ("businesses"), their prices and opening times, and passes your booking request to the business you choose. The business, not spotyshine, provides the wash and is responsible for it. A booking is a contract between you and that business.
Bookings
- A booking is a request until the business accepts it. The business may decline it, and a request it doesn't answer in time expires.
- The price shown when you book (the wash, any vehicle-size surcharge, add-ons you choose, a travel fee for mobile washes and any discount or promo code) is the price the business has agreed to charge for that booking.
- You can cancel or move a booking in the app while the app allows it. Businesses may cancel too, and must give a reason.
- Give accurate details. For a mobile wash, make sure the car is at the service address at the booked time and that the business can safely reach it.
Payment
You pay the business directly, by the method it accepts (for example cash, card or EFT at the wash). spotyshine does not take payment, hold your money or charge you a fee. Refunds and payment disputes are between you and the business; we will help where we can.
Reviews
Reviews must be honest, about a wash you actually had, and free of abuse, personal information about others and unlawful content. We may remove reviews that break these rules. Businesses can reply publicly.
Businesses (spotyshine Partner and the portal)
- Keep your business, branch, price and opening-time information accurate and up to date, and honour the prices customers book at.
- You are responsible for your team's access and for what they do in spotyshine. Invite only people who work for your business.
- Use customers' personal information only to carry out their bookings and as the law allows. You are responsible for how you use it under POPIA.
- Before and after photos are for recording the car's condition; never photograph people or number plates beyond what is needed, and never upload video.
- We may suspend a business that misleads customers, abuses the service or breaks the law.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse spotyshine: no fake bookings or reviews, no attempts to get at other people's data, no interfering with the service and no use that breaks South African law.
Our responsibility
We work to keep spotyshine available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the washes businesses provide or for losses caused by a business. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or other law that can't be excluded.
Ending your use
You can stop using spotyshine and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the apps before they take effect.
